Kerwood Wolf Education Center was closed down due to abuse Center

Welcome! This page is to show off our adopted White Artice wolf Shinook but it is also more. The place is this wonderful animal was being taken care of was called Kerwood Wolf Education Center (Ontario Corporation Number 1398260) was a registered non-profit wolf organization and resource center dedicated to the preservation and conservation of wolves worldwide. Yet It was closed down due to abuse issues

.....Following the removal of the animals today the investigation will continue with charges pending. The owner of the facility, Vivian Singer, 47, of Kerwood currently faces 11 counts of animal cruelty under the Criminal Code of Canada following the removal of 18 animals, including one lion, eight dogs, six cats, two cockatoos and one turtle, from the same property in November, 2006. Charges include eight counts for failing to provide suitable and adequate food, water, care and medical attention to eight dogs and one lion; two counts for failing to provide suitable and adequate care to six cats and two cockatoos; and one count for failing to provide medical attention to three cats. Singer is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, London, on May 31, 2007.

Governor Murkowski’s reinstatement of aerial wolf hunting in Alaska means heightened slaughter in a state that is already a hell hole for wolves. Hunting and trapping have already annihilated more than 7,000 wolves between 1996 and 2002 - and possibly even twice that number if unreported harvests are accounted for. Isnt she Beautiful!! Her eyes are so intense, the soul within shows love, wisdom and laughter. Here is a little information on Shinook. Shinook is the very epitome of an Arctic. Undaunted by even the worst weather conditions, she is always the first to leave the sheltered areas and start to play and explore. Her friendly, outgoing nature with wolves and humans alike has earned her one of our top Ambassador Wolf positions, teaching children and adults the way of the wolf and bringing her species to center stage.

One more quick note: The music playing is called “How am I supposed to live without you?” I listen to it and applied it to the many animals that are being senselessly killed and becoming extinct. I asked myself, “How AM I supposed to live without them?” A voice within me simply said, “ Your not!” So I decided not to go out as much this month, not to buy that soda or candy bar (heck I dont need it anyway) and apply that money to help sponsor a wolf or some other critter. Now I can say I did do SOMETHING to stop it all. Oh I may sound all wonderful and selfless but to be honest this is as much as for myself as it is for the Animals, cause to be honest I DONT WANT to live without them.

If you are interested in helping to sponsor another critter and cant pay for the whole thing yourself. We will collect donations, like we did for the other animals and when theres $50.00 or more we will sponsor yet another one, there are other truly wonderful places that treat Anaimals well.We cant give up because one place was rotten, there are many who really work hard and do care.
